It is with great sadness that we report that the Port District Football Club has unfortunately lost a great club person.

Phyllis (Phyl) Williams passed away peacefully on Sunday December 21 2008, aged 68.

Phyl was a the epitome of what the Port District Football Club stands for. She was a hard worker, loyal club person and a lady who loved the black and white.

Phyl was a recipient of both Club Life Membership and a Club Person of the Year. She has been part of our club for a great length of time and will be sorely missed.

On behalf of the Port District Football Club, condolences go to Graham and family.

The Port District Football Club is proud to announce that in 2008 we had two recipients of the Club Person of the Year Award. The winners were;

Jarrod Meers & Lisa Greig

Both Lisa and Jarrod have been recognised for their contributions to the club in season 2008. Lisa has been actively involved in numerous roles within the Junior grades both on committee and on match days. Whilst Jarrod has been involved in the coaching staff at senior level and was an active particpant in the establishment of the club's Heritage Day.

On behalf of the committee of Port District Football Club, thank you and congratulations to both Lisa and Jarrod.

The Port District Football Club would like to announce that Roger Davies has been inducted into the "Life Members" honour roll.

Roger has been a long time servant of the football club and truly deserves this honour. Over many years he Roger has given up his own time to fulfil various roles within the club bothon committee and on match days.

Roger now joins a distinguished list of Life Members of the Port District Football Club.

3 teams - Footballers, Cricketers and the Districts Legends - will all be pitted against each other in a shortened version of cricket.

Congratulations must go to Andrew Lipson for being awarded the SANFL Coach of the Year (Port Adelaide Metropolitan area).

A tremendous honour by Andrew which caps of a highly successful year for the Under 16's.

Club A grade cricket capatin Graeme Cooper is having a stellar season with bat so far. With one match before the Christmas break, Coops has accumulated an amazing 567 runs at and average of 113.

His season highlight to date has been the 193 he scored against Ingle Farm in a ODI game.

The club would like formally announce that the senior coaches for Season 2009 are;
